Day and thermal night hog hunts on 7,000 East Texas acres, with a success rate around 90% and no limit on hogs.
Wild boar hunting at The BigWoods is done from stands and corn feeders, and our hunter success rate on these free-range animals is about 90%. Pigs average around 125 lbs, and our biggest ever weighed 465 lbs. There are no limits on hogs, and our record for a single long weekend hunt is 63.
Hogs get more nocturnal as the season goes on, so we hunt after hours, sometimes till midnight, with guides using game cameras to learn when pigs hit the feeders.
